Buck Rogers "Asterite" Spaceship Desk Model
When the Buck Rogers comic strip, created by John F. Dille, first appeared in 1928, it introduced the mass American audience to science-fiction. With its ray guns and rockets, the Buck Rogers comic strip featured marvelous new worlds, dangerous villains, fantastical technology, and incredible art-deco designs.
Based on designs from the 1930's and 1940's, the "Asterite" is the first in a series of licensed Buck Rogers spaceship models. They are resin castings made from masters produced by Jeff Brewer, creator of the Cool Rockets line. Inspired by the fantastical art of the comic strip, these designs have never before been offered at this size or level of artistry and detail.
