Court of the Dead Riazz Statue Sideshow Collectibles 700086
"Riazz is free. Free to roam, free to explore, free to live. That is exactly what our rebellion is for: Freedom. Riazz understands that perfectly." – Xiall, The Great Osteomancer
Sideshow is excited to present the purrrfectly deadly Riazz Statuette from our new Court Critters Collection. Riazz is an original character from Sideshow’s own dark fantasy horror property, the Court of the Dead.
Riazz is the feline familiar to The Great Osteomancer, Xiall. As leader of the Faction of Bone, Xiall must be the very image of precision and structure. It is Riazz who expresses all that Xiall would never allow herself to feel.
From the ball of yarn bound up like a skull to her rune-inscribed collar, the Riazz Statuette has extraordinary detail. Her tail curls up in a beautiful geometric shape, as if to playfully mirror the order that Xiall desires. Riazz wears a mischievous grin, hinting at her true nature - very similar to that of cats from the Mortal Realm. While Riazz is quite affectionate with Xiall, she can be trouble for mourners she doesn’t favor. (Riazz even has armor on her legs, in case of a spat!) There is clear intelligence and curiosity behind the hypnotic turquoise eyes of this clever cat.
"My favorite details of this figure are the bottom jaws' front teeth," says Matt Molen, the Sidehow Sr. Concept Artist who sculpted this piece. "Since a few are jutting forward it breaks the usual skull silhouette and gives even more interest to the area. Also, the skull yarn ball, an awesome idea from Brand Director Anna van Slee!"
