"Never have we been outmaneuvered by droids. His strategy is without flaw." -- Shaak Ti, The Battle of Hypori
In the early days of the Clone Wars, the Jedi Master Shaak Ti lead a Jedi task force and an army of clone troopers to destroy a secret droid factory on the planet Hypori. When the Republic ships emerged from hyperspace, orbital mines tore through the majority of the troop transports and caused many to crash behind the Separatist's lines.
The immense droid army stationed on the planet soon surrounded Shaak Ti, her task force, and all the clone troopers who accompanied them. The troopers were soon destroyed by the hordes of super battle droids forcing the seven remaining Jedi to retreat behind some nearby starship wreckage. Just then General Grievous, the horrific four armed cyborg commander of the droid forces, approached and announced that the Jedi would receive a 'warrior's death' and to make peace with the Force, revealing a 'collection' of lightsabers taken from Jedi he had already killed.
Shaak Ti and the other Jedi were weary from their earlier battle with the droids, but they engaged Grievous in a furious battle. One by one, the Jedi fell until only Shaak Ti and Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi remained to duel with him. Cornered, the evil cyborg spun two lightsabers like buzz saws to surprise his attackers and then used the distraction to kick Mundi aside and concentrate a flurry of attacks upon Shaak Ti. Only her perfectly honed Jedi training and natural cunning allowed her to survive the deadly encounter with the multi-limbed terror.
